TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is solid.

Platforms

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.
